Richardson’s Bay Regional Agency (RBRA) to protect eel grass and updates on the agreement with BCDC
The Land Use, Transportation and Water Committee meeting will focus on:
- Richardson’s Bay Regional Agency (RBRA) and their work to protect eel grass and reduce the number of boats harbored without permits.
- Stephanie Moulton-Peters, District 3 Supervisor, and Brad Gross the Executive Director will provide updates on the agreement with BCDC, the status of eel grass and success providing alternative housing for people living on the Bay.
- Rebecca Schwartz-Lester, eel grass specialist, and Harbormaster Jim Malcolm will also be part of the discussion
Featured Speakers:
Stephanie Moulton-Peters is the current President of the Marin County Board of Supervisors, representing District 3 which includes Mill Valley, Sausalito and Tiburon. She sits on the Richardson’s Bay Regional Agency (RBRA) and the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC).
Brad Gross joined Regional Government Services (RGS) as a Senior Advisor serving as the Executive Director of the Richardson Bay Agency. Brad has extensive maritime knowledge and has built strong relationships in communities wherever he has worked. Brad is a Certified Marina Manager and holds a US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential.
Harbormaster Jim Malcolm with the Richardson’s Bay Regional Agency is dedicated to maintaining and improving the navigational waterways, open waters, and shorelines of Richardson’s Bay serving Belvedere, Mill Valley, Tiburon, and unincorporated County of Marin. The Agency is responsible for mooring, dredging, and navigating channel implementation including but not limited to the establishment and enforcement of permitted anchorage zones, navigational channels, fairway plans, and similar activities.
