Featured Speaker: Danny Franco, Senior Project Manager, has been working with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy for 13 years, primarily on natural resource conservation, vegetation management, and landscape scale habitat restoration projects. He managed parallel fine scale vegetation mapping and landscape database projects in Marin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties, which includes regional collaboration of over two dozen local, state, and federal land managing agencies and partners. Danny is leading the development of the Marin Regional Forest Health Strategy, a data-driven initiative of One Tam that will identify opportunities to improve forest habitat and protect biodiversity, while also strategically managing vegetation to increase wildfire resilience.

Featured Speaker: Rob LaPorte is a Project Manager with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy on the Projects & Design team. Rob has co-managed the Evolving Shorelines Project at Bothin Marsh through scoping, community-based visioning, and conceptual design. Rob has over 10 years of experience working in park planning, ecological restoration, and trail projects in collaboration with the Parks Conservancy’s land management agency partners, including planning and implementation of the Dias Ridge and Muir Beach restoration projects. Rob also has several years of experience as a Coastal Planner and holds a B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California San Diego.
